The College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE) has announced details of its upcoming Open Week, which will run from Tuesday 7 to Saturday 11 October 2025 across its three Northern Ireland campuses.

The event offers prospective students and career changers the chance to explore a wide range of study options in the agri-food and land-based sectors – industries recognised as vital to Northern Ireland’s economy.

Visitors can take part in information sessions and guided tours of CAFRE’s specialist facilities at Greenmount Campus in Antrim, Loughry Campus in Cookstown, and Enniskillen Campus.

A CAFRE spokesperson said:

“With information sessions and guided campus tours, this is your chance to explore CAFRE’s wide range of further and higher education study routes and discover career opportunities in the agri-food and land-based industries.”

CAFRE delivers specialist education and training across agriculture, food, equine, horticulture, floristry, land-based engineering and veterinary nursing. These areas not only support the development of skilled professionals but also play a crucial role in Northern Ireland’s wider agri-food economy.

The Open Week is open to school leavers, those considering a career change, or anyone keen to explore opportunities within the land-based and food sectors.

Booking is now open at www.cafre.ac.uk/events, with direct enquiries welcomed via CAFRErecruitment@daera.ni.gov.uk.
