SuperCupNI launches biggest-ever digital upgrade as 2026 tournament gets under way

The Budget Energy SuperCupNI has unveiled a new official website and mobile app ahead of this week’s tournament, giving thousands of players, families and football fans a single place to follow every fixture, result and live stream.

The digital overhaul is the biggest investment in the competition’s online platforms since the international youth tournament began in 1983, making it easier for supporters in Northern Ireland and around the world to keep up with more than 150 matches taking place over the coming week.

Everything supporters need in one place

The new website and app combine fixtures, results, league tables, team profiles, live streaming, ticket information, venue details and tournament news into one platform.

Tournament organisers say the aim is to make it easier for everyone involved—from players checking kick-off times and coaches planning their day to parents, scouts and supporters following the action wherever they are.

The project was developed by Holywood-based creative marketing agency Astutely with support from the National Lottery Dormant Assets for All Fund.

Thousands of players set for week of international football

Now in its 43rd edition, the Budget Energy SuperCupNI will welcome more than 1,200 players representing 64 boys’ and girls’ teams from across the UK, Ireland, Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East.

Elite academy sides including Manchester United, Liverpool, Rangers, Celtic, Tottenham Hotspur, Southampton, Sunderland, Leeds United and West Ham United will compete alongside county representative teams and international opposition.

More than 150 matches will be played across Causeway Coast and Glens, Antrim and Newtownabbey, and Mid and East Antrim between Sunday 26 July and Friday 31 July, with every game streamed live worldwide through the tournament’s broadcast partner, 247.tv.

Tournament Co-ordinator Sam Gamble described the launch as the biggest digital development in the competition’s history.

“The Budget Energy SuperCupNI has continued to evolve for more than 40 years, and this is the biggest digital investment we’ve ever made in the tournament.

“Every summer we welcome thousands of players, coaches, officials, families and supporters to Northern Ireland, while many more follow the tournament from across the world. We wanted to make it easier than ever for everyone to stay connected, whether they’re standing beside a pitch or following the action from thousands of miles away.

“For the first time, everything people need to follow the tournament is available in one place. Fixtures, results, league tables, ticketing, news and venue information are all at their fingertips, giving people a completely new way to experience the tournament.”

He also thanked Astutely for delivering platforms that he said would support the tournament for many years to come.

Built around the people who use it

Astutely led the strategy, user experience, design and technical development of both platforms, working with tournament organisers to understand how players, parents, coaches, officials, media and supporters use tournament information throughout the week.

Managing Director Robert Annett said the focus was on making the tournament simpler to follow.

“Before we designed anything, we spent time understanding how players, parents, coaches, scouts, media and supporters experience tournament week and where we could make things simpler. The answer was bringing everything they need into one place in a way that’s fast, intuitive and easy to use.

“The new website and app make information instantly accessible, whether you’re checking fixtures, following results, planning your day, watching live streaming or keeping up with the latest standings.”

Tournament finals

The 2026 Budget Energy SuperCupNI runs from Sunday 26 July until Friday 31 July.

The Girls’ Cup Finals will be played at Dixon Park, Ballyclare, on Thursday 30 July, before the Boys’ Minor, Junior and Premier Cup Finals take place at The Coleraine Showgrounds on Friday 31 July.
