Moyle Community First Responders have received a major boost in their mission to save lives across the region, thanks to a generous donation from NFU Mutual Ballymoney.
The substantial contribution will be used to replace and upgrade vital life-saving equipment, enabling the volunteer team to continue providing rapid emergency care across Moyle.
Moyle Community First Responders are a group of highly trained volunteers who respond to 999 calls in partnership with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service.
Often the first on the scene, they play a crucial role in providing urgent medical support before paramedics arrive. Their swift intervention during cardiac arrests, strokes, and other emergencies can mean the difference between life and death.
A spokesperson for the group expressed deep gratitude for the support, saying:
“We are incredibly grateful to NFU Mutual Ballymoney for their generous support. Donations like this are absolutely essential in helping us maintain and replace our equipment, ensuring we can continue to provide a high standard of emergency care in our community. This funding will go a long way in helping us save lives.”
NFU Mutual Ballymoney has a strong record of supporting local initiatives that make a tangible difference in rural and remote communities.
David Lennox from NFU Ballymoney commented:
“We’re proud to support Moyle Community First Responders. Their commitment, professionalism, and compassion make a real difference, often in the most critical moments. It’s an honour to help them continue their vital work.”
With rural areas relying heavily on fast-response emergency services, the continued support of local businesses and residents is essential.
This latest donation ensures that Moyle Community First Responders can operate with reliable, up-to-date equipment as they continue their life-saving work.
