What started out as the Ulster Mini Club Causeway Coast Branch in 1996 has spawned one of the most popular events in the Portrush summer calendar.

Now called the Causeway Coast Mini Club, the members have excelled yet again with what’s promising to be the biggest event yet.

The event will take place this weekend on Sunday 27 August, at Portrush West Bay car park, and will mark 64 years of the Mini! The day's event is planned to kick off at 11am.

This amazing site will give a fantastic view of the Atlantic and is a perfect location to view Kitecrew Ireland's kiting display on the beach. Trade stands, autojumble and family entertainment will add to the fun of the day.

Supported again by JKC MINI of Coleraine and Morellis it’s looking as if they’ll surpass the incredible turnout of 488 Minis last year - and there are other features in store.

The Simple Truth

The addition of the The Simple Truth as a guest act last year proved very popular and with sponsorship from Nutt Travel they’re appearing again this year.

Whilst Brian Moore will act as compère and will also complement the musical offering, introducing a guest musical act has proven extremely popular.

Indeed, as Brian Moore enthused:

"There have been many who have told me that they had no previous interest in the vehicles and had come along to hear the act and became completely enthralled with the array of Minis. They also told me they were taken by surprise by the community atmosphere amongst the drivers and Mini fans.”

Brian will be supplying complementary music throughout the event and will take care of a very generous raffle competition, with all funds going to Air Ambulance Northern Ireland.

Winners in the Draw will enjoy a plethora of prizes including a £150 Halfords voucher, a £100 Causeway Coast & Glens voucher, vouchers for meals, shopping, tool kits, hoodies, T-Shirts, a BMW kids’ trike and so many other prizes it would be impossible to list them all here.

Mini event on Causeway Coast

As always numerous companies will be displaying their goods (often at discounted prices) in , food and refreshments will be on hand and look out for the impressive display of vehicles from co-sponsors JKC MINI.  The excitement will mount throughout the day as the prize giving is anticipated after which there’ll be the unique Mini Cavalcade with a well rewarded delicious Morelli’s ice cream for all the participants.

'Morellis Italian Ice Cream Job' Mini Cavalcade at West Strand in Portrush has seen unprecedented interest this year and visitors can expect to see an amazing array of Minis both classic and new.

Admission to the event is entirely free thanks to the kind sponsorship of JKC MINI, Morellis and the sponsors of the musical offering, Nutt Travel.
