Home Bargains opens £5m Ballymena store, creating 75 jobs for the local community

Home Bargains has announced the opening of its brand new store in Ballymena, County Antrim, following a £5 million investment that brings 75 new jobs to the area.

Located at 135 Queen Street (BT42 2BG), the 23,814 sq. ft. store will officially open its doors at 8am on Saturday 21st June 2025.

The launch marks another significant milestone for one of the UK’s largest and most popular family-run retailers.

The new Ballymena store promises a wide variety of products under one roof, including homewares, health and beauty essentials, snacks, drinks, and a full selection of fresh, chilled, and frozen foods.

Additionally, shoppers can look forward to an in-store bakery, café, and a dedicated garden centre, offering a complete and convenient shopping experience.

Mark Ervine, the newly appointed store manager, expressed his enthusiasm ahead of the store opening:
