Blue Lights screenwriter, Declan Lawn, is heading back to Ballymena this November to compère the St Louis Centenary Gala Ball.

Taking place in the Tullyglass House Hotel on Saturday 9th November the Gala Ball is the culmination of a year of Centenary celebrations for St Louis Grammar School.

Fresh from the success of series two of ‘Blue Lights’, Declan is encouraging as many old boys and girls from St Louis to attend as possible:

“The Centenary Gala Ball is a chance for all involved with St Louis to connect, share memories and have fun. As a past pupilI’m really looking forward to catching up with old pals, teachers and staff from the Hill of Kintullagh on the night”.

Featuring a selection of entertainment and performances from former pupils including the very talented ‘Celtic Woman’, Tara McNeill and her husband, Alexander Bernstein, it promises to be a spectacular night celebrating all that is good about St Louis.

One hundred years since the school first opened its doors St Louis is encouraging past pupils, parents and friends to put a table of 10 together and use the evening as their very own class reunion. There will be the opportunity to catch up with teachers, reminisce over old photos and there may even be the chance to get your picture taken on the blue seat!

If you aren’t in touch with old school friends you can let the school know what year you left St Louis and you will, where possible, be seated beside classmates from your year.

The hairstyles may have changed but the memories will still be there!
