The highly anticipated 2025 Armoy Road Races will roar into life on Friday 25th July and Saturday 26th July, drawing spectators and elite riders alike to the picturesque village of Armoy in County Antrim.

With excitement mounting, organisers have announced a robust line-up of sponsors ensuring the continued success of this celebrated event in the Northern Ireland motorcycle racing calendar.

Leading the charge is the Bayview Hotel, Portballintrae, returning once again as title sponsor for the flagship Race of Legends. This enduring partnership underscores the race’s significance within the community and the wider road racing fraternity.

The two-day event, hosted by the Armoy Motorcycle Road Racing Club (AMRRC), promises an action-packed schedule featuring 14 races. As fans descend on the region, both local and international, the event continues to be a major highlight of the summer sporting season.

Speaking on the importance of corporate backing, George Huey, AMRRC Treasurer, emphasised, “The financial support of the sponsors is vital in enabling us to host and meet the rising costs of running the Road Races.”

Long-Time Sponsors Reaffirm Their Commitment

Two cornerstone supporters of the Armoy Road Races, Park Electrical Services and Brap Moto, have confirmed they will once again jointly sponsor the Senior Support Race, marking their fifth year of collaboration.

Davey Chambers, owner of Brap Moto, commented:

“I am delighted to once again be involved with the Armoy Road Races. The event grows year on year with more riders and supporters coming along which is testament to the hard work of the AMRRC volunteers.

“I am a huge fan of the event and at Brap Moto, we trade in classic and collectable motorbikes, so it is a great opportunity for us to be involved in the races and to see some of the fantastic bikes being ridden by world-class riders around such an exciting course.”

Meanwhile, Ian Hickinson and James McKillop, local patrons of the sport, continue their tradition of supporting the Junior Support Race, a category that showcases emerging racing talent.

Also returning are The Diamond Bar in Ballymoney and The Mermaid Club in Kircubbin, loyal backers of the Lightweight Supersport Race. Their longstanding contributions highlight the community’s deep-rooted passion for road racing.

Ken Palmer from the Mermaid Club shared:

“We have been sponsoring the Armoy Road Races for sixteen years now and we are excited to be involved again for 2025… We’re looking forward to seeing some great racing.”

Stephen Hargan, manager of the Diamond Bar, added:

“We are pleased to sponsor the Lightweight Supersport race again this year. To be able to watch some of the world’s top riders compete right on our doorstep is a privilege…”

An Evolving Legacy

Reflecting on the race’s growth, Gareth McAuley, Chairman of AMRRC, stated:

“The countdown to this year’s Armoy Road Races is well and truly on and once again we are indebted to our sponsors as without their support, we simply couldn’t host the event. I’d like to take this opportunity, on behalf of the Club, to thank all of our returning sponsors and welcome our new sponsors for 2025.”

He continued, “The Armoy Road Races has evolved from an idea and a small club meeting in 2007, to the much bigger two-day race event that it is now… The races attract top-class riders and visitors from across the globe, and we are very much looking forward to welcoming them to Armoy for what we know will be another thrilling and exciting event this year.”

The races, supported in part by the Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, will culminate in the prestigious Bayview Hotel Race of Legends on Saturday.
