Ballymena United supporters will begin the new season with a completely new way to buy tickets after the club announced a fresh three-year partnership with ticketing platform TicketCo ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

The deal will see the Championship side introduce a new integrated ticketing system designed to simplify how fans purchase season tickets and matchday admission, with the platform going live immediately as season ticket sales open this week.

The move marks one of the club’s most significant off-field operational changes ahead of the new season and comes as Ballymena United continues efforts to modernise supporter services and improve the overall fan experience at the Showgrounds.

New platform goes live as season tickets launch

Under the agreement, TicketCo becomes Ballymena United’s official ticketing partner for the next three seasons.

The platform is expected to streamline online purchasing for supporters, providing a more modern digital system for buying and managing tickets across league fixtures and season packages.

For supporters, the most immediate impact will be the launch of season ticket sales through the new system this week, giving fans their first opportunity to use the upgraded platform ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

The club says the partnership forms part of a wider commitment to improving matchday experiences both on and off the pitch.

Club says supporters remain central to plans

Ballymena United Chairman Chris Selwood described the agreement as an important step forward for the club.

He said:

“This partnership marks an exciting step forward for the club. Our supporters are at the heart of everything we do, and bringing TicketCo on board allows us to offer a smooth and reliable ticketing experience for years to come.

“We’re confident this three-year agreement will benefit fans across the Showgrounds and support our wider ambitions as a club.”

The partnership arrives at a time when football clubs across Northern Ireland are increasingly investing in digital systems aimed at improving supporter engagement and simplifying access to fixtures and events.

TicketCo outlines long-term ambitions with club

David Kenny, Vice President UKI at TicketCo, said the company was looking forward to working closely with Ballymena United in the seasons ahead.

He said:

“We are delighted to be joining Ballymena United as the club’s new ticketing partner prior to the 2026/27 season. Our role is to provide the tools that help the club serve its fans well, strengthen engagement over time, and support its wider ambitions.

“The best ticketing platforms should put clubs and supporters first, working in the background to make that relationship simple, smooth, and dependable. We are excited to work closely with Ballymena and be part of the club’s journey in the seasons ahead.”

The announcement signals another step in Ballymena United’s preparations for the new season, with supporters now set to experience a new digital ticketing system for the first time as the club gears up for the 2026/27 campaign.
