Kain Stewart in the ring
Ballymena’s rising combat sports star King Kain Stewart delivered an electrifying performance in Birmingham as part of the prestigious Breakthrough Fight Series, streamed live on Notorious TV.
The ten-year-old sensation, a pupil of Ballykeel Primary School, lready a multiple world champion, secured a mid-card slot on the event — a remarkable achievement for such a young athlete.
Fresh from an incredible showing at the WKA World Championships, where he claimed four gold medals and one silver, Kain entered the ring in top form. His ever-growing list of titles includes the WKO K1 British Title, WKA Northern Ireland Title, WKA Scottish Title, and WKA Northeast Title.
An Electric Atmosphere in Birmingham

As Kain made his ring walk to Tina Turner’s “Simply the Best”, the atmosphere inside the venue was electric. Fans erupted into cheers, singing, clapping, and even dancing on tables as the Ballymena youngster entered the ring — a surreal moment for a ten-year-old stepping into enemy territory as the away fighter.
Standing across from him was Jaxon Evans, Birmingham’s hometown favourite and the reigning WKO K1 World Champion, trained by professional fighter and promoter Kieran Piggot.
The two had history — Kain previously defeated Evans in the final of the WKO K1 British Championships in September. This highly anticipated rematch offered Evans a chance for redemption, and Kain another opportunity to prove his status as one of the sport’s brightest young prospects.
A Tactical Masterclass

From the opening bell, Kain took control of the centre of the ring, dictating the pace with sharp combinations and powerful kicks.
Evans responded with determination, countering effectively early on, but Kain soon adapted his strategy — switching to precision counter-punching that repeatedly caught his opponent clean and forced him onto the ropes.
By the end of the first round, Evans was visibly shaken, retreating to his corner as Kain’s dominance became clear.
The second round saw the Birmingham fighter come out aggressively, but Kain’s composure and fight IQ shone through.

When Evans overcommitted, Kain capitalised — landing a pinpoint counter punch followed by a crisp roundhouse kick that sent his opponent reeling. His relentless follow-up attack forced the referee to issue a standing count to the hometown champion.
In the final round, Evans fought cautiously, wary of Kain’s power and accuracy. Maintaining control and composure, Kain landed several clean shots before rocking his opponent again in the dying seconds with a stunning roundhouse kick to the head, closing out the contest in emphatic style.
A Star Is Born
“Wow. Just wow. Tonight, Kain put on an absolute masterclass — a performance that left everyone speechless,” said one ringside observer. “The young phenom didn’t just beat Jaxon Evans, the reigning K1 World Champion — he dismantled him.”

At just ten years old, Kain Stewart showcased the maturity, composure, and technical brilliance of a seasoned professional.
Calm under pressure and bursting with confidence, he delivered a performance that left no doubt — King Kain is a name the world of combat sports will be hearing much more of in the years to come.
