Graffiti sprayed on Rasharkin Orange Hall in July


Police have renewed their appeal for witnesses and footage as investigations continue into sectarian graffiti sprayed on Rasharkin Orange Hall last month.


The criminal damage happened in the early hours of Tuesday 14 July, when graffiti was sprayed on the building in the Main Street area of the village.



The PSNI is investigating the incident as a sectarian hate crime and is again asking anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward.


Police investigation remains ongoing


Inspector Hamilton said:


“Our officers continue to investigate a report that graffiti was sprayed on a building in the Main Street area of the town in the early hours of Tuesday 14th July.


“It’s believed that the incident, which is being investigated as a sectarian hate crime, occurred at around 1.20am.


“Our enquiries remain ongoing, and we are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time, and saw what happened, or who might have any CCTV or dash cam footage, to get in touch.


“The number to call is 101, quoting reference number 392 of 14/07/26.”



The renewed appeal comes more than a month after the incident and confirms that police enquiries into the attack remain active.


How to provide information


Anyone who witnessed what happened in the Main Street area at around 1.20am on Tuesday 14 July, or who may have relevant CCTV or dash-cam footage, is asked to contact the PSNI on 101, quoting reference 392 of 14/07/26.
