Ballymena Town Centre is gearing up for a magical festive season, unveiling a vibrant programme of family-friendly events, Christmas characters, charity activities and pop-up entertainment designed to bring joy and festive spirit to the heart of the town.

With festive shopping, cosy cafés, vibrant bars and restaurants, and a full schedule of December activities, Ballymena is inviting visitors from near and far to “make Ballymena your place to be this Christmas”.

Festive Programme Highlights

• Saturday 29 November

Ballymena’s Spin to Win: Gifts Galore!

Visitors will have the chance to walk away with festive treats, goodies and prizes. As organisers put it: “Your chance to win gifts, treats and some festive essentials. You’ve got to be in it to win it.”

• Saturday 6 December

Jingle Day with NI Hospice

An event organised by Ballymena NI Hospice Support Group, supported by Ballymena BID, this lively day of family fun to raise much needed funds for Northern Ireland Hospice will take over the town centre.

Expect the ever-popular Santa Bus, games station, face painting, balloon modelling and character appearances – all to help raise funds for an important local cause!

• Saturday 13 December

Festive Minions & Santa Rally

The Festive Minions return to Ballymena following their hugely popular debut last year, spreading mischief and laughter across the town!

On the same day, the Santa Rally with the Ulster Tractor Association returns for its third year. Visitors travel from across the country to see the spectacle, with the tractor convoy set to roll through the town centre from 6pm – an unforgettable highlight of the festive calendar.

• Saturday 20 December

The Grinch is Back!

He’s mean, he’s green, and he’s back to cause festive chaos in Ballymena. Expect playful antics, plenty of photo opportunities and a day filled with fun.

• Tuesday 23 December

Santa’s Town Tour

Santa will make his final tour of Ballymena just before Christmas, gathering last-minute wishes and spreading seasonal joy ahead of the big day.

Keep an Eye Out for the Elves!!

Familiar festive elves will be roaming the town centre throughout the season, handing out candy canes and bringing smiles wherever they go.
