When pink meets green: Dougies Goodies partners with Applegreen to sweeten the journey!

The famous pink brand of Dougies Goodies has officially arrived at Applegreen Lisburn Southbound, bringing a burst of colour — and a lot of sweetness — to one of Northern Ireland’s busiest service stations.

The collaboration, launched on Friday 14 November, sees Dougies Goodies’ signature cakes and bakes now available at Applegreen’s Lisburn South services.

The partnership pairs Applegreen’s convenient, on-the-go offering with Dougies’ fun, playful identity and the distinctive pink branding that has become a familiar sight across Northern Ireland.

A Ballymena Bakery with Heart

Dougies Goodies traces its roots back to Ballymena in 1983, when founder Dougie — then a young baker — began turning out irresistible cakes from what locals fondly remember as a “wee bakery”.

Quickly becoming a community favourite, the brand built its reputation on warm service, community connection and unforgettable sweet treats.

Nearly 40 years on, under the ownership of Frank and Georgina Warwick, Dougies Goodies has grown significantly. The business now partners with more than 80 retail stores across Northern Ireland and operates a flagship shop in Belfast city centre — all while maintaining the joyful spirit and passion for baking that defined the original bakery.
