Due to popular demand, young bus and rail passengers will be able to enjoy the return of Little Explorers, a mini campaign aimed at highlighting the fun and wonder children can experience on their Translink journeys this summer.

Whether it’s a simple trip into town with mum or dad, a family day out further afield, or summer adventures with Grandparents, Translink knows that for many children the journey can be just as much fun as the destination. Which is why it has created the Little Explorers booklet filled with games, puzzles, and plenty of space to capture the joy and memories of the trip.

With school holidays just around the corner, Translink is also providing great value fares across its range of services this summer. From days out in Belfast, to exploring all that Northern Ireland has to offer, there are comfortable, easy and affordable ways to travel with Translink and connect with family and friends over the summer holidays.

For family days out the £23 Family and Friends ticket offers unlimited day travel on all Translink services within Northern Ireland for up to two adults and four children. Or show the kids more of what Belfast has to offer with a Metro & Gilder Family ticket for just £10 for two adults and four children, with unlimited day travel on all Metro and Glider services.

David Cowan, Director of Commercial Operations at Translink, said:

“Following the popularity of our Little Explorers activity packs last year we were keen to bring them back for another summer of adventure and great memories for our young passengers. With so much in Northern Ireland for families to discover and enjoy by bus or rail; great value fares; and easy, hassle-free journeys, we think Little Explorers will help spark lots of fun and imagination, as well as keeping young passengers entertained on their journeys.”

As well as free Little Explorer booklets, each week on Instagram Translink will share a range of suggested family journeys and events accessible by bus and rail to make it even easier to plan a mini adventure.
