Toast on Main Street, Cullybackey
A business in Cullybackey has been put on the market for sale with the owners, sisters Lynette Millar and Leanne Wiseman, saying the long hours are “taking their toll”.
The popular eatery on Main Street in the village has been operating for almost a decade and during that time it has built up a busy trade of customers who have appreciated the great food - breakfasts, lunches and dinners - all served up with a smile and at reasonable cost.
Over the last years however Toast has not only become a favourite eating spot, but a central part of the local community. Many days friends meet for a catch-up while generations of family can be seen enjoying food and spending time together… the simple things that bond life and and strengthen relationships in a tight-knit rural village like Cullybackey.
Lynette and Leanne announced their decision - “a time for change” - at the weekend.
“A note to all our lovely customers… We have some news for you all: we have decided to put Toast up for sale. This has been a very hard decision for both of us but the long hours are starting to take their toll and we feel it’s time for a change.
“In the meantime we will be open for business as normal and hope you will all continue to support us.”
The well-known local ladies added:
“Our staff are like a second family to us and we would like to thank them so much for firstly all their hard work, and secondly their support in this difficult decision, they truly are the best!”
The popular premises are on the market with local estate agents Lynn & Brewster, being offered for sale together with the option to purchase the goodwill, fixtures and fittings. The property has a guide price of £295,000.
The premises were extensively refurbished approximately 9 years ago.
Selling the property, Lynn & Brewster sat:
“Toast has become a well-known destination providing freshly made food and beverages throughout the day.
”The property in brief encompasses a front dining area seating up to 26, main kitchen, preparation, storage area and washing bay, rear dining area and main serving area seating up to 60, entrance lobby and WC facilities to the ground floor. The first floor features a storage area, staff kitchen, office, boardroom/overspill room and further WC facilities.
“Externally, there is access for deliveries and capacity for up to 18 cars on site.
”The property and business provide excellent potential trading from an established basis and would be ideal for an existing experienced operator wishing to extend their portfolio.”
Toast is open as normal in the meantime serving up all the deliciousness that its customers have come to expect and enjoy.
