Second man sadly dies following Co Down collision as PSNI renew appeal

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) has confirmed that a second man has died following a serious two-vehicle collision in Downpatrick.
Caoimhin Teggart, aged 28 and from the Kilkeel area, passed away in hospital on Monday night, 22 September, as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
The collision, which occurred on the Ballydugan Road on Monday, 15 September, also claimed the life of 21-year-old Ryan Cunningham.
The crash involved a silver VW Bora, driven by Mr Cunningham, and a grey Toyota Avensis.
A PSNI spokesperson said the investigation is ongoing and renewed their appeal for information.
“Anyone with information or dash-cam footage and who has not yet contacted police is asked to call 101, quoting reference 760 15/09/25,” officers said.
