A major new sports bar and restaurant promising live sport, late-night entertainment and a “true taste of the Causeway Coast” has officially opened inside The Portrush Atlantic Hotel.
The venue, called Another Round, replaces the hotel’s former Atlantic Bar and forms part of a wider refurbishment programme at the landmark Portrush seafront hotel.
Designed as a new social hub in the centre of the seaside town, the concept combines live sports coverage, food, drinks and entertainment under one roof — with hotel bosses hoping it becomes a go-to destination for both locals and visitors.
New concept aims to create all-day social destination

Located at 73 Main Street in Portrush, Another Round will offer live coverage from Sky Sports and TNT Sports, with a particular focus on golf alongside major sporting fixtures throughout the year.
The venue also includes a snooker table, dartboards and table football, while regular live music is planned as part of the entertainment offering.
Its menu draws heavily on Northern Ireland-inspired comfort food and sharing dishes, with options including fresh seafood chowder, Buffalo chicken wings, burgers and crispy chicken sandwiches.
A fully stocked bar serving beers, spirits and cocktails will operate daily from noon until 1am.
The launch comes as Portrush continues to benefit from growing tourism interest linked to the Causeway Coast, international golf events and increasing visitor numbers across the north coast hospitality sector.
Hotel says venue inspired by Northern Ireland culture and sport

Marc Eccles, General Manager of The Portrush Atlantic Hotel, said the aim was to create a venue centred around sport, atmosphere and local identity.
“The idea behind Another Round is simple: creating a place where people can come together — whether that’s for the golf, the big match, or just a great night out,” he said.
“Designed to be Portrush’s home of sport, the concept draws inspiration from the culture and ingredients of Northern Ireland so guests can savour another round and a true taste of the Causeway Coast.”
The venue’s redesign introduces dark interiors inspired by the Atlantic Ocean, alongside artwork featuring both vintage and modern regional athletes.
Part of wider investment in north coast hotels

The opening also marks another step in a broader refurbishment strategy being carried out across the property following its acquisition by hospitality and real estate firm AJ Capital Partners in December 2024.
AJ Capital Partners now owns three hotels in the region, including the neighbouring Portrush Adelphi and the Slieve Donard.

The investment reflects continuing confidence in Northern Ireland’s tourism and hospitality industry, particularly along the Causeway Coast where hotels, restaurants and visitor attractions have seen rising demand in recent years.
With major golf events, busy summer tourism seasons and increasing international attention on Portrush, hospitality operators are continuing to invest heavily in new experiences aimed at both overnight guests and local customers.
Another Round is now open daily at The Portrush Atlantic Hotel, 73 Main Street, Portrush, BT56 8BN.
