Police in Ballymena have launched an investigation following a reported assault involving a female member of staff and a customer at a local bar.
The incident is reported to have taken place late on Friday evening, 19 December 2025, at the Grouse Bar in Ballymena.
Officers have confirmed that enquiries are ongoing as they seek to establish the full circumstances surrounding the alleged assault.
The incident, which occurred during what is typically a busy period for hospitality venues in the run-up to Christmas, has prompted an appeal to the public for information.
Police believe there may have been people present in the bar at the time who witnessed the interaction or who may have relevant information that could assist the investigation.
In a statement, police said:
“We are appealing to any members of the public who may have witnessed this, to please contact police on 101, quoting police reference #801 20/12/25.”
