Crews from Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service rushed to the scene of another farm slurry incident on Sunday morning, 2 January, on the outskirts of Ballymena.
NIFRS received a call for help at 10.27am after 10 cows got stuck in a slurry tank at a farm on the Drumramer Road, Ahoghill.
It was the third such incident in the last few weeks.
Emergency Services attended two other slurry related incidents - on Saturday 11 December when a bull needed rescued at Crawfordstown Road, Portglenone. The second incident occurred on New Years Eve at a farm on Breckenhill Road, Doagh, after 10 cows and a bull entered a slurry pit.
In the latest incident, the NIFRS Large Animal Rescue Team, and Specialist Rescue Team, as well as crews from Ballymena Fire Station attended the scene.
A spokesperson for NIFRS commented:
“Firefighters were called to reports of 10 cows stuck in a slurry tank on Sunday morning afternoon. Firefighters used a telehandler and large animal rescue equipment to rescue the cows. The incident was dealt with by 2.13pm.”
