FREE tickets available as international golf stars return to Galgorm for NI Legends tournament

Northern Ireland’s biggest names in senior professional golf will return to Galgorm this September as the NI Legends tournament brings Major champions, Ryder Cup stars and international players back to Mid and East Antrim.
The tournament, part of the Staysure Legends Tour, takes place from 2 to 6 September 2026, with organisers expecting spectators from across the UK, Ireland and overseas.
Importantly for local sports fans, admission is free, with visitors able to register in advance for tickets.
World-class field returns
Among the headline names confirmed is former US Open champion Michael Campbell of New Zealand, while defending champion Markus Brier will also return to Galgorm’s Championship Castle Course.
The event features professional golfers aged 50 and over who continue to compete on the international Legends Tour.
As well as the 54-hole tournament, the week will include two pro-am competitions on Wednesday and Thursday, giving amateur golfers the opportunity to play alongside professional legends under tournament conditions through the Legends Experience.
Council highlights economic impact
Mid and East Antrim Borough Council is again supporting the event and says it expects the tournament to provide a boost for tourism and local businesses.

Galgorm’s international golfing pedigree
Ross Oliver, Director of Golf at Galgorm, said this year’s tournament continues the venue’s long history of hosting major international events.
“This year’s NI Legends event on the Staysure Legends Tour will be the 21st international event staged at Galgorm, dating back to 2008.
“We are delighted to welcome the stars of the Legends Tour for what promises to be another wonderful tournament week at Galgorm.
“A host of household names are set to compete at Galgorm in September with Major champions, Ryder Cup heroes all taking to the Championship Castle Course. It’s great news that New Zealand legend Michael Campbell is also set to compete, so soon after his compatriot Ryan Fox won The Open at Royal Birkdale recently. Ryan is a former winner of the NI Open at Galgorm in 2016.”
Previous major tournaments staged at Galgorm include the 2020 Irish Open, four editions of the World Invitational between 2019 and 2023, and 14 NI Open tournaments, helping establish the venue as one of Northern Ireland’s leading championship golf destinations.
