Women across Mid and East Antrim are being encouraged to take part in a free menopause awareness session in Larne Town Hall this September, designed to provide information, guidance, and support during this important stage of life.
The event, titled Navigating the Menopause, will take place on Wednesday 10 September 2025 from 6.30pm to 9pm, beginning with a complimentary supper.
Organised by the Northern Area Community Network (NACN) and delivered by Anne McGale from Menopause Wellbeing NI, the session will explore the signs and symptoms of menopause while outlining a wide range of options for managing them.
These include lifestyle changes, hormone replacement therapy (HRT), and alternative approaches.
Speaking ahead of the event, Breige Conway, spokesperson for NACN, said:
“We delivered this workshop twice last year with over 60 women attending. Anne McGale from Menopause Wellbeing NI delivered it with funding from the NHLP, to equip women with the information they need to navigate their way through the menopause.
“We are delivering another session with Anne, on 10th September in Larne Town Hall starting with supper at 6.30 pm. Spaces are limited and places can be booked by visiting Northern Area Community Network’s website.”
The session is being coordinated by Amanda McAuley from NACN and aims to ensure that women leave feeling informed and empowered about the choices available to them.
Attendance is free of charge, but booking is essential as spaces are limited.
To reserve a place, visit Northern Area Community Network’s website or contact Amanda directly on 07840 374 757.
