A 25-year-old man has tragically died following a serious two-vehicle road traffic collision in the Tandragee area of County Armagh earlier today, Thursday 19 June.

The incident occurred on Mullahead Road shortly after 8.10am and involved a motorcycle and a Renault Scenic car. Emergency services, including officers from the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) and colleagues from partner agencies, responded to the report.

Confirming the fatality, Inspector Cherith Adair said:

“Officers received and responded to a report of a collision involving a motorcycle and a Renault Scenic car at Mullahead Road shortly after 8.10am.

“Colleagues from partner services were also in attendance.

“Sadly, a 25-year-old male motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene.”

Following the incident, road closures were put in place in the area to facilitate emergency services and initial investigative work.

Inspector Adair continued:

“Road closures were in place for some time but the Mullahead Road has since reopened, while a closure remains in place at Ballymore Road.”

Police have now launched an appeal for information, particularly seeking dash cam or mobile phone footage from members of the public who may have been in the area at the time of the collision.

“We are appealing to anyone in the area at the time and has dash cam or mobile phone footage to get in touch via 101, and quote reference number 231 of 19/06/25, or report online at www.psni.police.uk/makeareport,” Inspector Adair added.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been formally released, and no further details have been provided at this time.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward to assist police investigations.
