Missing man: 56-year-old Bryn Williams

Police and the family of missing Groomsport man Bryn Williams have issued a renewed appeal for information as concern for the 56-year-old’s welfare continues to grow.

Mr Williams was last seen in his home town on Saturday, 6th December, with his final contact with family occurring at around 6pm. He is described as approximately 5ft 10in tall, of slim build, with dark hair.

Family’s plea: “We just want him home safe in time for Christmas”

His wife, Nicola Williams, said the family is increasingly anxious as the days pass without news.

Nicola said:

“It’s now six days since Bryn went missing and we just want him home safe in time for Christmas. If anyone has any information at all, I would ask them to please contact police. The smallest thing might help find him.”

Police issue further image and appeal for sightings

Inspector Campbell said officers are continuing extensive efforts to trace Mr Williams, including issuing a new photograph in the hope it “might jog people’s memories”.

Inspector Campbell said:

“We continue to appeal to anyone who may have seen Bryn to get in touch. Today, we’re issuing a further image of him, in the hope that it might jog people’s memories.

“We would like to know of Bryn’s movements last Saturday, and would ask the public to report any sightings of him or his distinctive blue Porsche Macan, registration number OIG9692.

“We would also ask that any boat-owners in Groomsport, Bangor or any of the surrounding coastal towns check their vessels.

“His Majesty’s Coastguard, Community Rescue Service, and volunteers are continuing to assist with our efforts and we want to thank them for their invaluable support.

“Anyone with any information which might assist us is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1546 of 06/12/23.”

Search operation ongoing

Search teams from His Majesty’s Coastguard, the Community Rescue Service and local volunteers have been supporting police as the operation enters its sixth day.

Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen Mr Williams or his blue Porsche Macan (OIG9692) in the Groomsport, Bangor or surrounding coastal areas last weekend.

Police are urging members of the public to check dash-cam footage, CCTV devices and ring doorbells for any possible sightings from last Saturday.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police immediately.
