The McDonald’s restaurant in Ballymena has once again pledged its support of local football club Carniny Amateur and Youth Football Club for the 23rd consecutive year, making it one of the longest-standing sports sponsorships in McDonald’s history in Northern Ireland.
Des Lamph, Franchisee, McDonald’s Ballymena, said:
"Over the past two decades, our team at McDonald's Ballymena has developed a longstanding and valued partnership with Carniny Amateur and Youth Football Club throughout Ballymena and the surrounding areas.
"We are proud to have played a role in supporting thousands of local children who have progressed through the club, benefitting from the opportunity to play football in a fun, safe and inclusive environment.
"We hope to continue supporting Carniny and serving the wider community in Ballymena long into the future.”

Billy O’Flaherty, a founding member of Carniny Amateur and Youth Football Club, is a previous winner of the prestigious People’s Award at the McDonald’s Irish FA Grassroots Football Awards. The award celebrates the outstanding contribution made by an individual to football in their local community and beyond.
Billy added:
“We would like to express our great appreciation and thanks to the entire team at McDonald’s Ballymena, who has provided such generous support to our club each year since we were founded in 2000.
