Belfast Giants have unveiled four new jerseys for the 2026/27 season as the reigning Elite Ice Hockey League champions prepare to return to the ice — with O2 appearing on the front of the team’s shirts for the first time.

The new home, away, alternate and Challenge Cup designs mark the beginning of O2’s title sponsorship of the Giants, while supporters who are Priority from O2 members can receive 20% off all 2026/27 jerseys, both online and in-store.

The shirts are on sale now ahead of the Giants’ return to action on Friday 28 August.

A new look for the reigning champions

The 2026/27 collection introduces a significant change to the Giants’ home kit, with the club adopting an all-over teal design for the first time.

The Giants’ signature colour extends across the jersey, shorts and socks, creating a completely teal core home strip as the club begins its defence of the EIHL title.

The white away and black alternate jerseys take their inspiration from more traditional ice hockey styling, combining the Giants’ established colour palette with understated accent detailing.

A fourth design has been created for the Challenge Cup, featuring a new colourway while incorporating 10% of the club’s familiar teal.

The collection has been launched through a ‘Legends. Not Myths’ campaign featuring Giants supporters alongside well-known figures including former world champion boxer Carl Frampton and Belfast Giants head coach Adam Keefe.

O2 takes its place on Giants jerseys

The launch follows the beginning of a major new relationship between O2 and the Belfast Giants.

A 10-year naming rights agreement announced earlier this year saw the Giants’ home venue become The O2 Belfast in July, while O2 has also become title sponsor of the team.

It is the telecoms and entertainment brand’s first move into professional ice hockey and places the Giants alongside the England men’s and women’s international rugby teams as professional sports teams currently carrying O2 title sponsorship.

Steve Thornton, Sports Director at The Odyssey Trust, said:

“Unveiling a new jersey is always an important moment ahead of a new season, and we’re delighted to see O2 take its place on the front of a Belfast Giants jersey for the first time. This partnership brings together two organisations with strong connections to people across Northern Ireland and a shared ambition to deliver outstanding experiences across the board.

“As O2’s first professional ice hockey partnership, it’s a significant milestone for both organisations and one we’re proud to be a part of.

“We’re looking forward to working closely with O2 throughout the season, not only in creating the best possible experience for our supporters on game nights, but also through opportunities to engage with the wider community. We’re excited about what this partnership can achieve for the club, our fans, and the sport as a whole.”

Discounts and improved connectivity for supporters

The partnership also brings practical benefits for O2 customers attending Giants games.

Priority from O2 members will receive 20% off 2026/27 Belfast Giants jerseys, online and in-store, as well as 48-hour pre-sale access to season tickets.

O2 says network upgrades at The O2 Belfast will also provide its mobile customers with enhanced 4G and 5G+ connectivity throughout the arena, with additional capacity intended to maintain the mobile experience even during sold-out events.

Gareth Griffiths, Director, Partnerships and Sponsorships at Virgin Media O2, said:

“Seeing the O2 logo on the new Belfast Giants jersey marks an exciting start to our partnership with the team and the next evolution of O2’s longstanding commitment to sport.

“Having proudly sponsored England Rugby for more than 30 years – a partnership which has seen O2 become the first brand to commit marketing parity in the sport, help close the gender awareness gap, and commission an award-winning content series – we are excited to make a positive impact in professional ice hockey and bring fans closer than ever to the reigning EIHL champions.

“From exclusive rewards on Priority to pre-sales and enhanced connectivity at The O2 Belfast, this really is just the beginning – we’ll see you at a game soon.”

Jerseys available now

All four 2026/27 Belfast Giants jerseys are now on sale as preparations continue for the champions’ return to the ice on Friday 28 August.

Supporters can view the new collection and order jerseys from the Belfast Giants online store:

The new strips will take the Giants into a season in which attention will be firmly on whether the reigning champions can successfully defend their EIHL crown — this time carrying a new look and a new title sponsor.
