Man dies in two-vehicle collision on between Limavady and Coleraine

A man has died following a two-vehicle road traffic collision on Windyhill Road, between Limavady and Coleraine, on Thursday 20 November, the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) has confirmed.
The incident, which occurred shortly after 9.45am, involved a lorry and a white Peugeot Partner van.
Chief Inspector Celeste Simpson, from the Collision Investigation Unit, said:
“Police received a report shortly after 9.45am, on Thursday morning, of a collision involving a lorry and a white Peugeot Partner van.
“Our officers attended, along with our colleagues from partner emergency services. Sadly, however, the driver of the van, was confirmed deceased at the scene.”
She added that detectives are working to establish the full circumstances of the collision and reiterated an appeal for witnesses.
“Collision Investigation Unit detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances of this collision. We are particularly keen to hear from persons who witnessed the collision or captured dash-cam footage which may assist with our enquiries. If you can assist please contact the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference number 381 20/11/25.”
The Windyhill Road has since reopened following the earlier closure to facilitate investigations.
Police have not yet released further details about the man who died, and no other injuries have been reported.
