Man arrested after drugs and weapons found in Ballymena

Police have arrested a man following a search of a house in the Harryville area of Ballymena on Monday, July 10th, during which drugs and illegal weapons were discovered.


A spokesperson for the Police Service of Nothern Ireland (PSNI) commented:


"Officers from Ballymena District Support Team with the assistance of Tactical Support Group and a specialist drugs dog conducted a search of a property in the Harryville area of Ballymena.



"A quantity of Class A and Class B controlled drugs were seized along with a number of prohibited weapons. The photo (above) shows a portion of what was seized.


"One male has been arrested for a number of offences and is currently in custody assisting with enquiries.



"If you are concerned about drug dealing in your area please contact Police on 101 or 999 in an emergency. Alternatively you can report anonymously through Crimestoppers."
