Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Major Investigation Team, investigating the murder of 17-year-old Blake Newland in Limavady on Friday, 2nd February, have charged a 53-year-old man with murder.
He is expected to appear before Coleraine Magistrates’ Court on Friday 9th February.
As is usual procedure, the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
Police received a report at around 9.35pm on Friday 2nd February, that a man in his 50s had been stabbed. Officers attended and while carrying out enquiries they located Blake who was also seriously injured with stab wounds in a nearby house.
Blake was taken to hospital where he subsequently died from his injuries.
The second injured man was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries.
Police have previously charged two other men, aged 27 and 29-years old, with the Blake's murder.
