M&S Aldergrove to reopen after 50% expansion with 2,000+ extra products

M&S has confirmed its newly expanded Aldergrove store will reopen at 9am on Thursday 8 October following a major transformation that has increased the shop by 50%.
The expansion into the neighbouring service station unit will bring more than 2,000 additional products to the store, alongside new facilities and a significantly wider M&S Food range.
Bigger store and wider food range
Among the changes will be a larger in-store bakery, upgraded coffee-to-go facilities and, for the first time at the Aldergrove branch, a dedicated frozen food range.
M&S says the additional space will also allow the store to carry more of its Remarksable Value and Bigger Pack Better Value ranges, alongside new and seasonal products.
Customers will also find additional self-checkout tills, while the existing Click & Collect service will continue when the store reopens.
25 new colleagues join Aldergrove team
The expansion has created 25 new roles, with the new colleagues currently completing onboarding and training ahead of the October opening.
M&S Aldergrove Store Manager David Brady said:

Opening morning celebrations
M&S mascot Percy Pig will officially cut the ribbon when the doors open at 9am on Thursday 8 October and welcome shoppers into the transformed store.
The first customers through the doors will also receive a complimentary M&S tote bag, while stocks last.
For customers who used the Aldergrove branch before its transformation, the reopening will therefore bring a substantially larger store, thousands of additional product choices and several new food and convenience features — with the expanded team ready to welcome shoppers back from 9am on 8 October.
