Marks & Spencer is bringing an extra layer of comfort to café dining this autumn with the launch of its new seasonal menu, featuring more than 20 new dishes and drinks across breakfast, lunch, and sweet treats.

The refreshed line-up includes indulgent toasties, hearty all-day breakfast rolls, and a collection of limited-edition autumnal drinks, alongside the retailer’s first-ever brand partnership in its cafés.

Toasties take centre stage

The highlight of the autumn menu is what M&S has described as a toastie “glow up” – four new recipes designed to deliver the ultimate comfort food.

  • New York Salt Beef Toastie (£6.95): A crusty butter-topped sourdough filled with three indulgent cheeses, a creamy béchamel and gherkin mix, tangy sauerkraut, and layers of tender pulled salt beef.

  • Cheese & Marmite® Toastie (£6.50): The café’s first-ever brand collaboration, this twist on the classic pairs a rich Marmite béchamel with cheddar and Emmental in crispy herby butter-topped sourdough.

  • BBQ Chicken & Bacon Toastie (£6.95): Packed with roast chicken, smoked bacon, gooey cheese and a tangy BBQ sauce.

  • Cheese & Onion Toastie (£6.50): Featuring pickled pink onions, a three-cheese béchamel and extra slices of Emmental.

All four are served hot and golden, making them a centrepiece for the season.

A UK high street first

Gluten Free Bacon Roll

M&S is also making headlines by becoming the first UK high street café to launch a Gluten Free Bacon Roll (£5.50), ensuring that even more customers can enjoy a breakfast classic. The roll is generously filled with smoked British bacon in a toasted gluten-free bun.

Vegetarians and lighter eaters are also catered for, with dishes such as the Halloumi & Avocado Ciabatta (£6.50) with tomato chilli chutney, the Veggie Breakfast Ciabatta, and health-conscious options like the Coconut & Berry Chia Bowl and High Protein Pancakes with Berries & Greek Yogurt.

Sweet, spiced, and seasonal sips

No autumn menu is complete without a drink to match the season, and M&S has introduced two limited-edition cinnamon creations:

  • Cinnamon Crunch Latte (from £4.00): A sweet cinnamon bun-inspired latte topped with whipped cream and crispy caramel, available hot or iced.

  • Iced Cinnamon Matcha (£4.25): Smooth oat milk matcha infused with warming cinnamon spice, delivering what M&S calls “cosy in a cup”.

The drinks join the café’s wide selection of Fairtrade barista-made coffees, available with whole milk or alternative milks at no extra charge.

Cakes with a cause

Throughout September, 5p from every slice of cake sold in M&S Cafés and Coffee Shops will go to Macmillan Cancer Support, one of the UK’s leading cancer charities.

Customers can choose from classics like Victoria Sponge and Carrot Cake, or try seasonal additions such as the Sticky Toffee Mini Cake, knowing that every bite makes a difference.

Supporting communities and suppliers

As part of its ongoing commitment, M&S continues to donate 1p from every cup of coffee sold to its A Cup of Ambition™ fund, which supports coffee producers and helps strengthen their resilience against climate change.

M&S is also the UK’s largest contributor to the Fairtrade Premium for coffee.

Something for everyone this autumn

From hearty toasties and bacon rolls to lighter breakfast bowls and indulgent sweet treats, the new M&S Café menu has been designed to appeal to all tastes.

Whether grabbing a quick bite or lingering over a seasonal latte, customers can “fall hard this cosy season” with an offering that blends comfort, creativity and a little innovation.
