Love Island is back — and ITV has revealed the first Islanders preparing to enter the Mallorca Villa for a new summer of romance, rivalry and reality TV chaos.
The 13th series launches on Monday 1st June at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX, with Maya Jama returning as host as a fresh group of singletons couple up, clash, flirt and fight for a connection.
New faces, big personalities and Villa tension
This year’s line-up includes a quantity surveyor and DJ, a detective, a West End performer, a nurse, a teacher, a model, a fashion business owner and a property broker.
Since first launching in 2015, Love Island has become the UK’s most-watched dating show, with ITV saying it has now exceeded 2.5 billion streams on ITVX.
The new series will again be filmed in sun-drenched Mallorca, where Islanders must “couple up or clear out” as new arrivals, changing loyalties and romantic tests put early connections under pressure.
Robyn, 21, Liverpool

Robyn is a quantity surveyor and DJ from Liverpool who says her type is “tall, fair, muscles, nice teeth” — but insists personality matters most.
She says she is looking for someone who can make her laugh, has charm, and shows good manners. Her biggest turn-offs are arrogance and people who eat with their mouth open.
Robyn says she is going into the Villa for love, not drama, although she admits she will “do what I’ve got to do” if she wants someone.
Lorenzo, 28, Hertfordshire

Business owner Lorenzo says he traditionally goes for blondes, although not always, and admits he has a soft spot for “a posh girl”.
He says manners are essential and rudeness is a major turn-off. Unlike some Islanders, Lorenzo is not pretending drama will be avoided, saying: “Drama is fun! As long as no one is crying, all is fair in love and war.”
His approach is direct: he says he goes after what he wants and does not plan to play it safe.
Mica, 21, Barbados/London

Mica, a student from Barbados who lives in London, says she likes tall, bigger men with strong personalities who can make her laugh.
She does not want an egotistical or cringey man, saying she needs someone who is more into her than himself.
Mica says finding love is her main goal, but she admits she will be “a little bit nosey” if drama unfolds around her.
Sean, 25, Galway

Primary school teacher Sean from Galway gives one of the shortest answers on type, saying simply: “Female!”
He cannot stand cockiness or a dry personality, and says he is entering the Villa for love — but may also be “mixing” a little drama rather than getting directly involved.
A Gaelic footballer, Sean says if he sees someone he likes, he is going for it and “nothing’s gonna stop me.”
Ellie, 24, West Lothian

Real estate videographer Ellie from West Lothian says her type is “tall, dark and handsome”, with nice teeth, tattoos and a face that looks like trouble — but hopefully not heartbreak.
She says confidence is attractive, but cockiness is not. Ellie wants love, but says if drama comes with fighting for it, “so be it.”
She believes she handles competition with confidence, adding: “People love me and if they don’t then they’re clearly not okay.”
Samraj, 25, Birmingham

Model Samraj from Birmingham says he does not have a fixed type and is more interested in how a woman carries herself.
He dislikes people who try to win arguments by being the loudest in the room and says he does not like being dragged into issues that do not involve him.
Samraj says he is competitive in life and is looking forward to seeing how he matches up against the other single men in the Villa.
Lola, 28, Kent

Lola, a detective from Kent, says she likes tall, Italian-looking men with dark hair, light eyes and a good sense of humour.
She says she is looking for someone smart, funny and caring, but has a long list of icks — including anyone who describes themselves as a “cheeky chappy”.
Lola says she is genuinely looking for love and wants “someone who is actually the love of my life”.
Samuel, 25, Dudley

Electrician Samuel from Dudley says his type is classy, mature, blonde, fun and someone who does not take themselves too seriously.
He says he is ready to settle down after a year of being single and dating, and wants to find the love of his life.
Samuel says honesty will be important in the Villa, admitting he has learned from past dating mistakes where he avoided difficult conversations because he did not want to hurt someone.
Angelista, 24, Staffordshire

Nurse Angelista from Staffordshire says she is drawn to tall, dark and handsome men who are quietly confident, attentive and patient.
She says she is not entering Love Island for drama and describes herself as non-confrontational, although she may enjoy watching it from the sidelines.
Angelista says she will make sure she is seen by the boys, but will not “beg it”.
Ope, 27, Lincolnshire

West End performer Ope says he goes on energy, vibes and whether someone finds his jokes funny.
He says he prefers Northerners because they have “better crack” and wants someone positive, fun and up for a laugh.
Ope insists he is not here for drama — before admitting he is also very much here to watch it unfold.
Jasmine, 27, Dubai/London

Fashion business owner Jasmine, from Dubai and living in London, says her type is “objectively hot, really charismatic, and confident.”
She says insecure men would not be able to handle her and admits she loves drama, describing herself as the “auntie of the group”.
Asked how she will handle competition, Jasmine says simply: “Respectfully, what competition?”
Aidan, 23, Kent

Property broker Aidan from Kent says personality is the most important thing for him, with humour and natural chemistry mattering more than a strict type.
He does not want someone controlling or overly dominant, and says he prefers people who stay in their lane rather than stir situations unnecessarily.
Aidan says finding love is the goal, but admits he may listen in on drama and “maybe” stir the pot a little.
A summer built for drama and romance
The new series is produced by Lifted Entertainment, part of ITV Studios, and WPP Media Motion Entertainment.
With contestants already promising confidence, chaos, romance, respect, rivalry and a few tactical flirtation moves, Love Island’s latest line-up appears ready to give viewers another summer of recouplings, bombshells and emotional turning points.
Love Island returns on Monday 1st June at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
