LEGO fans set for huge Northern Ireland first as National Brick Events makes debut in Coleraine
Wednesday 07 October 2026
Coleraine is preparing for a landmark weekend of LEGO® fun as National Brick Events makes its Northern Ireland debut — bringing its biggest-ever format to the town.
The event on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October will be the organisation’s first anywhere on the island of Ireland, as well as its first two-day event and the first to be staged across multiple locations.
Running from 9am to 4pm on both days, the event will take over Coleraine Leisure Centre, Coleraine Town Hall and the Event Space Marquee, with families, collectors and LEGO® enthusiasts invited to explore displays, traders and hands-on activities.
Three major firsts for Coleraine
Visitors can expect a collection of fan-built displays and creations, alongside specialist traders offering rare and retired sets, minifigures, accessories and other LEGO® items.
There will also be opportunities for children and adults to get building themselves, while local LEGO® personality DJ the LEGO Man will be among those taking part.
The event has been brought to Coleraine by Coleraine Connect and forms part of The Great Coleraine Build, a month-long programme celebrating all things LEGO® throughout October.
Free trail offers chance to win LEGOLAND trip
Families visiting for National Brick Events can also head into Coleraine town centre for the free Bricks Fairytale Trail, which is running throughout October.
Thirteen brick-built fairytale models have been hidden in businesses around the town centre, with participants challenged to find each creation and collect a letter at every stop.
Those letters reveal a two-word mystery anagram, which can be solved to enter a competition for a family trip to LEGOLAND® Windsor.
The prize, offered in collaboration with JF Travel, is for a family of four and includes flights, two nights at the LEGOLAND® Hotel and LEGOLAND® Windsor park passes. Terms and conditions apply.
