The Housing Executive’s Ballymena office is opening its doors to the local community this December for a special coffee morning and donation drive in support of Homelessness Awareness Week.

Locals are invited to Twickenham House on Monday 1st December, from 10am to 2pm, for a warm drink, a slice of cake, and an opportunity to show support for individuals experiencing homelessness.

As part of the initiative, staff will also be collecting non-perishable food items, toiletries, and cleaning products to donate to High Kirk Church, a local organisation providing essential support for people facing homelessness.

Kimberly Bellew, from the Housing Executive’s Ballymena office, said:

“We’d love to see as many people as possible join us for a cup of tea, a chat and a chance to offer a helping hand to those in need.

“This year our donation drive will collect items for High Kirk Church, who provide incredible support locally for people experiencing homelessness.

“Even the smallest donation can make a huge difference to someone who is struggling and any contribution will be greatly appreciated.”

The event is part of Homeless Connect’s Homelessness Awareness Week, running from 1st to 7th December, which includes a series of social, educational, and awareness-raising activities.

The week aims to challenge stereotypes about homelessness while highlighting the vital work carried out by organisations across Northern Ireland.

Community members are encouraged to participate in both the coffee morning and the donation drive, helping to make a tangible difference to those in need.
