Greggs opens new Antrim shop at The Junction, creating 14 local jobs

Leading food-on-the-go retailer Greggs has opened the doors to its newest Northern Ireland location at The Junction Retail & Leisure Park in Antrim, marking another milestone in its ambitious regional growth plan.

The new shop has created 14 jobs locally and is part of a wider expansion strategy that has seen five new Northern Ireland openings since January.

The latest launch follows recent shop openings across the province, including sites on Lisburn Road and York Street in Belfast, a drive thru in Craigavon’s Marlborough Retail Park, and a unit at Foyleside Shopping Centre in Derry.

With a modern new look and comfortable indoor and outdoor seating, the Antrim shop offers a full range of Greggs favourites, from the ever-popular Sausage Roll and Steak Bake to a variety of vegan-friendly alternatives. It also features exclusive iced drinks such as Cloudy Lemonade and Iced Latte, typically available only in a select number of Greggs shops across the UK.

Speaking about the launch, Amy Stewart, Shop Manager, said:

“We can’t wait to welcome both Greggs fans and new customers to our brand-new shop. Whether it’s a Greggs classic savoury, a Fairtrade coffee or something hot for dinner, there’s something for everyone – ready to sit-in, take away or collect through Click + Collect.”

Customers can start the day with Greggs’ breakfast deals, available until 11am, which include a breakfast roll or baguette paired with a Fairtrade orange juice or hot drink.

For evening visitors, hot menu items like Southern Fried Chicken Goujons,

Potato Wedges, and a wide range of pizza slices – including Margherita, Pepperoni, Spicy Mexican Chicken, Spicy Veg and Pepperoni Hot Shot – are available. From 4pm, pizza lovers can enjoy a slice with a drink for just £3.15, down from the usual £4.00.

The shop also offers the convenience of Click + Collect through the free Greggs App, helping customers skip the queues. App users are rewarded with a free hot drink upon registration, and a complimentary sweet treat on their birthday. Additionally, regular users earn a free item after nine purchases across different product categories.

The new shop will operate under the following hours:

• Monday to Friday: 08:00 - 19:00

• Saturday: 08:00 - 18:00

• Sunday: 10:00 - 18:00
