Galgorm Collection extends Netball NI partnership as Warriors head to Commonwealth Games

Netball Northern Ireland’s national team has received a timely boost ahead of the Commonwealth Games after Galgorm Collection agreed to extend its sponsorship for a further three years.

The renewed partnership will provide continued financial support for the governing body, helping clubs across Northern Ireland, funding education programmes and contributing towards the training costs of the national team, the Warriors, as they compete on the international stage.

The announcement comes as the Warriors begin their Commonwealth Games campaign in Glasgow, where they face one of the toughest groups in the competition alongside Australia, England, South Africa, Malawi and Tonga. The squad will also be targeting qualification for the Netball World Cup later this year.

Support from grassroots to elite level

Galgorm Collection has partnered with Netball NI since 2022, and the new agreement will continue backing the sport from grassroots participation through to elite performance.

The funding will help clubs operate effectively while supporting coaching, education and player development programmes across Northern Ireland.

Karen Rollo-Stewart, Chief Executive of Netball NI, said the long-term commitment provides benefits both on and off the court.

Backing local sport

Headquartered in Galgorm, near Ballymena, Galgorm Collection says supporting community sport forms part of its wider commitment to investing in Northern Ireland.

Business Development Manager Georgie Briota said the organisation sees close links between sport, teamwork and community.

Looking ahead to the Warriors’ international campaign, she added:

For Netball NI, the extended sponsorship provides financial certainty as the organisation prepares for another demanding international season while continuing to invest in clubs and participation across Northern Ireland.
