Tesco Northern Ireland is expanding its range of locally produced dairy products, with new yoghurt, flavoured milk and award-winning cheddar being introduced in stores and online.

The additions bring together established Northern Ireland food producers, including a collaboration between Clandeboye Estate Yoghurt and Portrush-based Irish Black Butter, alongside new products from Belfast’s Millar Moo and Dale Farm’s Dromona range.

The launches give shoppers more choice while creating additional opportunities for local food businesses to reach customers across Northern Ireland.

Among the new arrivals is Clandeboye Estate Madagascan Vanilla & Irish Black Butter Greek Style Yoghurt, combining two distinctive Northern Ireland products.

Despite its name, Irish Black Butter contains no dairy butter. The Portrush-produced speciality is a rich, spiced apple preserve, traditionally associated with autumnal flavours.

The new yoghurt combines Madagascan vanilla with the distinctive flavour of the preserve, following a collaboration between the two local brands.

Patrick Black, Commercial Director at Clandeboye Estate Yoghurt, said:

“We’re thrilled to launch our new Madagascan Vanilla & Irish Black Butter Greek Style Yoghurt in Tesco Northern Ireland.

“Working with Irish Black Butter to create the recipe was a fantastic experience, and we were delighted by the feedback when we sampled it at this year’s Balmoral Show. Having worked with Tesco Northern Ireland for nearly 15 years, we are pleased to celebrate this launch.”
