The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) has confirmed that a fourth person has died following the tragic shooting incident in Maguiresbridge, County Fermanagh.
Ian Rutledge (43), who had been taken to hospital in critical condition following the incident on Wednesday 23 July, passed away on the evening of Sunday 28 July.
Mr Rutledge’s death comes just days after the fatal shooting of Vanessa Whyte (45) and her children, James Rutledge (14) and Sara Rutledge (13).
Police formally named the victims last week as they launched a murder investigation.
The PSNI has reiterated its appeal for anyone who may have relevant information—no matter how minor it may seem—to come forward.
“Our investigation is continuing and we remain keen to speak to anyone who may have information that could help us understand what happened,” said Detective Chief Inspector Neil McGuinness in a previous statement.
