A celebration of female entrepreneurship and local creativity will take centre stage this weekend as Enterprising Women MEA hosts its highly anticipated Winter Showcase at Fairhill Shopping Centre, Ballymena, on Saturday 8 November from 9am to 4pm.
Following the success of last year’s event, this year’s showcase promises to be “bigger and better than ever”, with 17 talented local traders bringing an array of handcrafted gifts, festive treats and creative products — just in time for the Christmas shopping season.
Visitors can expect a vibrant display of local craftsmanship, including artwork, skincare, homeware, baked goods, and bespoke festive creations — all produced by female entrepreneurs from across Mid and East Antrim.

The showcase will feature stalls from Alison Gardener Art, Cabinet of Curious Crafts, Crafty Treasures, Galgorm Melts, Greenhill Vegan Bakery, Help You Home, Kind Skin, Lauren Kelso Illustrator, LC Accountancy Services, Pages For Good, Precious Pebble Art, Rose & Bumble Handcrafted, Rose Fabric Design, Roxy’s Kitchen, and Tropic, among others.
The Enterprising Women Winter Showcase forms part of the wider Enterprising Women MEA initiative — a network led by Carrickfergus Enterprise, in partnership with Ballymena Business Centre, and supported by Mid and East Antrim Borough Council.
The programme provides training, networking, and promotional opportunities for women in business across the borough.
A spokesperson for the organisers said the event is designed to celebrate not just the products, but the people behind them:
“This showcase is about shining a light on the incredible women driving creativity, innovation and local enterprise in our community. It’s a chance to shop local, support local and celebrate local talent — all while getting into the festive spirit.”
Shoppers are encouraged to browse and buy unique, locally made gifts, meet the makers behind the businesses, and enjoy a day filled with festive atmosphere, community connection, and entrepreneurial inspiration.
