Elsewhere on Sunday, emergency services attended a number of road traffic collisions across County Antrim.

Police advised shortly after 11am on Sunday morning that the Church Road area of Moorfields, Ballymena, had been closed due to a serious road traffic collision.

The road was closed for a number of hours but has since reopened.

Another collision occurred in the area of Glenariffe Forest Park shortly after 3pm this afternoon. It is understood a telegraph pole was hit during the incident bringing down overhead cables and making the road impassable.

Meanwhile, in Ballyclare police closed the Templepatrick Road between the junctions of Mill Road and Hillhead Road around 5pm after another serious road traffic collision.

There are no further details currently available of the condition of those involved in the collisions in Moorfields, Glenariffe, and Ballyclare. We will provide updates on our website and social platforms when they become available.
