The award-winning Illyria Outdoor Theatre is set to visit Mid and East Antrim with two performances of Shakespeare’s much-loved Twelfth Night this summer.
“Illyria has performed top notch outdoor theatre for more than thirty years and we’re delighted to return to Ballymena and Carrickfergus this year.” said Artistic Director Oliver Gray.
Twelfth Night is a fantastic tale of romance, revenge, and mistaken identities with hilarious consequences. It could all end in tears - even if most of them are of laughter!
Illyria will be performing in Shaftesbury Park, Carrickfergus on Monday 31 July and People’s Park, Ballymena on Tuesday 1 August. Gates open at 6.30pm and show starts 7.30pm. It promises to be a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the return of summertime together.
Visitors are encouraged to bring along a picnic basket and rug or low backed seating. Hot drinks, snacks and ice cream will be available.
Tickets are now on sale and are available online via Eventbrite, https://midandeast.eventbrite.com
Early booking is advised as capacity is limited. Tickets cost £5 + booking fee. Suitable for ages 8+, must be accompanied by an adult.
