Build, explore and win: The Great Coleraine Build launches with LEGOLAND family getaway up for grabs

Families are being invited to get building, exploring and solving this October as The Great Coleraine Build brings hands-on Bricks4Kidz sessions, a free town centre fairytale trail and the chance to win a family trip to LEGOLAND®.
The programme, organised by Coleraine Connect with support from Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council, begins with 13 large brick-built fairytale displays appearing in businesses across Coleraine from Thursday, 1 October.
Young builders can then get hands-on when Bricks4Kidz takes over on Saturday, 3 October, with sessions for different ages and abilities — including a dedicated session for children with additional needs.
Dedicated SEN session among four building events
The day begins at 10am with a dedicated SEN Bricks4Kidz session, limited to 30 children and designed to offer the experience in a smaller, dedicated setting.
Family Build sessions will follow at 11.15am and 12.30pm, before children aged seven and over can take part in a LEGO® Technic Masterclass at 2.30pm.
Coleraine Connect has subsidised ticket prices to make the sessions more affordable, with places limited and advance booking encouraged.

Thirteen fairytales hidden around Coleraine
Running alongside the building sessions is the free Bricks Fairytales Trail, which will see 13 brick-built installations displayed at 13 locations around Coleraine town centre from 1 October.
The models depict characters from well-known fairytales, with some taking hundreds of hours to create.
Families can collect a trail map and hunt down all 13 displays — but finding the models is only part of the challenge.
A letter will be hidden at every stop. Anyone who collects all 13 can use them to uncover a mystery two-word phrase and enter the Scan, Collect, Solve, Win competition.
Family trip to LEGOLAND up for grabs
One winner will receive a LEGOLAND® getaway for a family of four, provided by JF Travel and Coleraine Connect.
The prize includes flights for four people, two nights at the LEGOLAND® Hotel and LEGOLAND® passes for the family. The prize is for a family of four with children aged under 12.
Trail maps will be available to download from the Coleraine Connect website from Thursday, 1 October, or can be collected from any of the 13 participating businesses.
With the trail free to explore and the Bricks4Kidz sessions taking place on Saturday, families can combine both activities for a day out in Coleraine — while those who successfully crack the trail’s mystery phrase will have the opportunity to turn their brick-building adventure into a trip to LEGOLAND®.
