Ballygally Castle has unveiled a limited-edition craft beer to mark its 400th anniversary, created in partnership with award-winning Whitewater Brewery.

As part of its milestone celebrations, the historic County Antrim hotel has launched Ballygally Castle Beer – a unique brew that blends tradition with local flavour.

The collaboration with Whitewater Brewery, one of Northern Ireland’s leading craft beer producers, is the latest highlight in a year-long programme of events marking the castle’s landmark anniversary.

The exclusive beer offers guests “a taste of something truly special”, celebrating both the rich heritage of Ballygally Castle and the thriving food and drink scene in Northern Ireland.

A year of celebrations

The launch follows a busy calendar of festivities at the four-star hotel, which has already hosted a community sea-swim and BBQ, a Murder Mystery evening, and themed accommodation packages.

With 2025 set to be one of its busiest years on record, Ballygally Castle has reported a 15% year-on-year rise in food and beverage sales, reflecting both increased visitor numbers and strong local support.

General Manager Scott Weatherup said:

“The launch of the Ballygally Castle Beer is a toast to our heritage, our guests and the local community that has supported us through the centuries.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Whitewater Brewery who share our values of quality, craft and championing local – and it has already been a huge hit with our guests.”

He added:

“Our 400th year is not only a celebration of the past, but also of the present and future of Ballygally Castle. Our bednights continue to remain strong and our food and beverage offering in particular has experienced a 15% growth in recent months which is due to the hotel’s outstanding menus, a strong focus on local produce and increasing numbers of local guests choosing to dine and celebrate at the castle.
