Thousands of music fans heading to see Zach Bryan in Belfast this week are being urged to plan their journeys carefully, with significant road closures and traffic restrictions expected around Boucher Playing Fields on both concert nights.
The American country music star will perform at Boucher Playing Fields on Tuesday 23 June and Wednesday 24 June, with traffic disruption anticipated across the surrounding area between 5pm and midnight on both evenings.
Motorists, concertgoers and local residents are being advised to expect delays, particularly before and after the concerts when large crowds are arriving and leaving the venue.
Police have confirmed a series of road closures and traffic management measures will be in place to help manage the expected influx of visitors and maintain public safety.
Multiple road closures planned around venue
Several key routes around Boucher Road, Stockman’s Lane and Lisburn Road will be affected.
Between 5pm and midnight, traffic travelling from Shanes Retail Park towards Boucher Road will be reduced to a single lane.
More significant restrictions will come into force later in the evening.
From 9pm until midnight:
• Stockman’s Lane to Tates Avenue will be fully closed.
• Stockman’s Lane to the M1 junction will be fully closed.
• M1 off-slip lanes at Stockman’s Lane will be fully closed.
Additional closures operating from 5pm until midnight include:
• Lislea Drive at Lisburn Road.
• Lislea Avenue off Lisburn Road.
Police have also confirmed there will be no access to Balmoral Road and onwards to the concert venue from Lisburn Road via Lislea Avenue and the railway bridge and pedestrian walkway during ingress and egress periods.
Concertgoers urged to plan ahead

Diversion routes will be clearly signposted throughout the area.
Accessible parking will be available on Balmoral Road, where coaches will also be parked. However, coaches will not be permitted to leave until authorised following the event.
There will be no designated pick-up or drop-off points within the road closure zone, meaning visitors arranging lifts should plan alternative meeting locations outside the restricted area.
The scale of the event is expected to place considerable pressure on surrounding roads, particularly immediately before gates open and after the concerts finish.
Police appeal for responsible behaviour
Superintendent Allister Hagan said police want everyone attending the concerts to enjoy the experience safely while showing consideration for those living and working nearby.
He said:
“We want everyone attending the concerts to have a great night, to stay safe, and remember these events for all the right reasons.
“Please act responsibly, stay with your friends and look after one another – and if you need help during the evening speak with event staff or the police.”
The PSNI has also asked concertgoers to be mindful of local businesses and residents, particularly when leaving the venue late in the evening.
