Police in Mid Ulster apprehended an over-the-limit farmer making his way on country roads in Bellaghy this morning, Thursday 25 November.
The officers, who were looking for stray animals at the time, came across the farmer and something about the way he was handling his Massey Ferguson caught their attention.
A breathalyser test later, and the tractor driver was unfortunately found to be three times over the legal limit.
A officer from the PSNI commented:
“Just after 11 this morning, crews in Bellaghy looking for animals wandering on the road, spotted this Massey doing the very same.
“A check over the driver found him three times over the limit.
“He's spent the rest of the day in the cells sobering up, next stop - a personal audience with the Judge.”
