Police have said a woman in her 80’s is in critical condition in hospital after a house fire in the Ballyrickard Road area of Larne, that was reported on Saturday afternoon.
Police had closed the Ballyrickard Road earlier this afternoon as emergency services responded. The Road has since reopened.
A police spokesperson commented:
“The Ballyrickard Road has re-opened following a house fire in the area.
“The fire, which is not being treated as suspicious at this time, was reported to police at around 1pm on Saturday 27 February.
“A woman, aged in her 80’s, has been taken to hospital where she remains in a critical condition.
“There are no further details at present.”
