Were you driving on Ballybogey Road last Saturday? Police need footage from a crucial 20-minute window

Missing County Antrim man, 50-year-old Mark Dinsmore
Saturday 31 October 2026
Motorists who travelled through the Ballybogey Road area of Ballymoney last Saturday evening are being urged to check their dash-cam footage as police continue searching for missing Bushmills man Mark Dinsmore.
The 50-year-old has not been in contact with family or friends since he was involved in a road traffic collision on Saturday 24 October, raising serious concerns for his welfare.
Police have now identified a specific 20-minute period during which footage from passing vehicles could help their enquiries.
Crucial 20-minute window for motorists
Officers are appealing to anyone who was in the Ballybogey Road area between 5.55pm and 6.15pm on Saturday 24 October to review any dash-cam recordings they may have retained.
Mark was last seen at approximately 6pm that evening, when he was involved in a collision while driving a grey Audi A4.
Police have previously warned that he may have sustained injuries during the collision, adding to concerns about his disappearance.
Search for Mark continues
Police have been conducting enquiries alongside voluntary search and rescue partners, with an updated photograph of Mark released as part of efforts to locate him.
He is described as approximately 5ft 8in tall, of medium build, with short dark hair. When last seen, he was wearing a red coat, white T-shirt, jeans and white trainers.
Residents have also been asked to check accessible sheds, outbuildings, unoccupied properties and derelict buildings for any sign of him.
How to help police
Anyone who was travelling through the area during the specified 20-minute period and has dash-cam footage that could assist is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 431 of 25/10/26.
Police are also continuing to appeal for any information about Mark's whereabouts. With a week now passed since he was last seen, footage recorded by motorists on the evening of the collision could provide important evidence to help establish what happened and where he may have gone.
