Weather Warnings issued as November set to get off to a wet start with Storm Ciaran

November looks set to get off to a wet with Storm Ciaran arriving in the UK and Ireland from mid-week.


A yellow weather warning has been issued by the Met Office saying another period of heavy rain is likely to bring some impacts across Northern Ireland.



The current weather advisory runs from 6:00pm on Tuesday 31st October until 9:00am on Wednesday1st November, however further warning may be issued as the week be


A Met Office spokesperson said:


"After a very brief respite, another spell of heavy rain is likely to push up from the southwest later on Tuesday and at first on Wednesday.



Many places will see another 15 to 20mm, with 25 to 30mm possible in a few places, and falling on saturated ground, further impacts are likely in some places."


The coming week will continue unsettled for much of the UK with a deep area of low pressure, named today (Sunday 29th October) as Storm Ciaran, which is expected to bring heavy rain to much of the UK.
