A County Antrim man has praised the efforts of Royal Mail staff in Ballymena and Cushendall, after they managed to deliver a letter to his home with a little help of the ‘life story’ on the envelope, in the absence of a full address.
Using the hashtag, #thisisyourlife, Feargal Lynn, who lives in Cushendall, shared the story on social media and said the letter had provided him with a “much needed laugh”.
Feargal commented:
“Hearty applause to Royal Mail, Cushendall and Ballymena, for being able to deliver this letter to me today - got a much needed laugh! They had first name, the village where I grew up and half the postcode… the rest is more like my life story!”
The writing on the envelope said:
“Feargal, lives across the from the Spar. His ma and da used to own it, his mother was Mary and Da, Joseph, moved to Waterfoot after he got married, plays guitar and used to run discos in the Parochial Hall, and the hotel in the 80’s. Friends with the fella runs the butchers in Waterfoot too.
“Cushendall, BT44, N Ireland.”
