Vandals target Cullybackey College grounds as police appeal for information

Police are appealing for information after paving slabs were removed and goalposts damaged during vandalism at the grounds of Cullybackey College.
Ballymena Neighbourhood officers attended the school grounds on Friday morning, 14 August, following reports of criminal damage.
Police said paving slabs had been removed, while a number of sets of goalposts were damaged after being thrown into adjacent land.

Officers described incidents of this nature as unusual for the village and are now asking local people who may know anything about what happened to come forward.
In a statement, police said: “Incidents like this are unusual in the village and we would appeal to the local community, if they have any information in relation to this either contact members of our rural team, call 101 quote reference 388 of the 14th August or report online.”
Anyone with information which could assist the investigation can contact police on 101, quoting reference 388 of 14/08/26, speak to members of the local rural policing team, or submit information through the PSNI’s online reporting service.
Police enquiries into the damage are continuing.
