Great news for all you skater enthusiasts, the V36 Skate park is one jump closer to opening.
This exciting project is now soaring ahead with works due to start before the end of summer.
Plans for the Skate Park are part of the V36 Urban Sports Park project, which is supported by the Peace IV Shared Space and funded by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).
Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey Councillor Jim Montgomery said:
“This is great news for the Borough. Skateboarding has really taken off and there is a great demand for this facility. As a council we are continually looking to improve and develop leisure facilities for our residents and this skate park is only part of a developing programme of enhancements.”
