Toomebridge-based manufacturer Uform has pledged its support to Cancer Fund for Children through a new strategic charity partnership aimed at helping families affected by childhood cancer this Christmas and beyond.
Cancer Fund for Children provides vital emotional, social and therapeutic support to children and young people diagnosed with cancer, as well as to their families.
For many, the impact of a diagnosis extends far beyond medical treatment, affecting mental health, education, friendships and family stability.
The charity’s therapeutic short break centre, Daisy Lodge in Newcastle, County Down, offers families a safe and restorative environment away from hospital wards, medical appointments and the daily pressures of treatment.
A second centre, currently in development in County Mayo, will expand this service to even more families across the island of Ireland.
Uform’s partnership will focus on raising funds to support the running of these purpose-built facilities, ensuring families continue to have access to much-needed respite. The company has launched a Christmas fundraising appeal, encouraging donations through its dedicated JustGiving page.
Elaine Bullock, Partnership & Philanthropy Executive at Cancer Fund for Children, said:
“We’re so pleased to be partnering with Uform this Christmas. Up to 40 children and young people (aged 0-24) could be diagnosed with cancer this festive season, and thanks to the generosity of our corporate partners we can be there for these families when they need us most.
“Christmas is usually a time for joy, but for families experiencing cancer, even being together can be a challenge. We are so grateful to Uform for helping us continue to ensure no child faces cancer alone.”

Uform says this partnership reflects its commitment to supporting meaningful causes that directly benefit communities across Ireland.
Lex Lambrou, Commercial Marketing Director for Uform, said:
“The swift and impactful change that Cancer Fund for Children provides, on the day-to-day lives of children and their families, speaks volumes to their dedication, organisation and care. We’re pleased to be able to support them this Christmas and beyond.”
In the longer term, Uform plans to collaborate with the charity on additional fundraising avenues and practical support initiatives—not solely financial—designed to make a direct difference to children and families navigating the challenges of cancer.
Members of the public can contribute to the Christmas appeal by donating at Uform’s JustGiving page.
